I actually really liked Joel Brennan when I met him, and even ranked him high in the ranked choice voting experiment (people assume he's centrist but he struck me as quite progressive). That said, his latest ad where he claimed everyone else would lose to Tom Tiffany in November totally turned me off. Fear mongering is not the way you win votes, sharing what you stand for is. I wasn't planning to vote for him in the primary anyway (feels like it would be a wasted vote), but after this recent negative/desperate move I think it's time for him to accept that he has no path to victory and drop out.

The one guy in the race who’s never won an election wants to tell the candidates who have how to win elections? Make it make sense.

Especially when the former boss of his biggest state job (Evers) chose to endorse Crowley and not him.

If Brennan really wants Democrats to win in November, he needs to quit NOW. Sure, he probably is more electable in a general Election in November (low-infos being swayed by racist tropes are a thing in Wis), but Brennan ain’t winning this primary, and is more likely to spoil a more electable candidate by taking 5% away.

Stay with the old guys in suits east of 13th Street, Joel. Others can handle the rest of the state.

Maybe he needs to stay in the race so he has to come to terms with reality when it’s over. Being focused on race is a losing strategy for middle aged white men. Unless you are in the Republican Party then it’s all about race. Everyone who’s not white is at risk of anything they want to come up with.

Pretending not to understand why Crowley and his campaign are called establishment and then deflecting with identity reflects the deep cynicism moderate democrats love to employ against the left. The author knows his campaign is called establishment because of his milquetoast capital friendly policies and him being Transparently propped up by big donors and political elites, when there previous avatar Sara imploded from incompetence and corruption.

This is the same cynicism being used against Abdul in Michigan
