Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley spoke at Marquette University today as part of its “Get to Know” series. Following the event, in a brief interview with The Recombobulation Area, Crowley said the recent story in conservative media involving his wife, Ericka, and her employer, Milwaukee-based nonprofit organization Community Advocates — and subsequent attacks from Republican nominee Tom Tiffany — represented a “new low” in this campaign.

“This is a brand new low for them to be going after my wife,” he said.

On Milwaukee County’s relationship with Community Advocates, Crowley said, “they’ve had this (contract) since 2007, which started under then-County Executive Scott Walker, and it has been renewed consistently.”
